The Duct Route Matters as Much as the Fan
A ventilation system can underperform when ductwork is undersized, overly restrictive, poorly supported, leaking, uninsulated, or terminated in the wrong location. What is the difference between an ERV and an HRV?
Both provide balanced ventilation while recovering energy from outgoing air. An HRV primarily transfers heat, while an ERV also transfers a portion of the moisture. The better option depends on the building and application.
Can you install ductwork for a kitchen range hood?
Yes. We can evaluate the hood connection, required duct size, available route, fittings, supports, exterior termination, and access conditions. The hood manufacturer’s requirements must be followed.
Why is my bathroom fan not removing moisture?
