Ed and his team are the BEST. We have had AC issues and we’ve called him twice, he’s slotted us in SAME DAY between other jobs and fixed both problems quickly and affordably (one time mechanical, needed new freon) and one time software (darned Nest trying to adapt to day-night cycles). This is long over due. Ed and his crew installed a heat pump system in my home it heats and cools my home. Along with the system came an ECOBEE thermostat which controls it all simply. EML Mechanical is top-knotch. We had a Bryant rooftop AC system go down and had another HVAC company take a look and they didn’t have a clue what was going on. Ed and his guys are very responsive, courteous, on time and take the time to address the issues that you are having. I’ve often had problems in the past where other larger sized plumbing companies have told me my ac units or heating system were broken and tried to sell me a new one. Ed and his guys have come right out to address the same issue and have fixed them and saved me thousands on unnecessary new equipment. We highly recommend EML Mechanical for AC installation and maintenance. We used them to replace two zones of air conditioning (outside condensers and inside air handlers) using new Carrier equipment. The air handlers were located in tricky places – one in a small attic space and another in a crawl space – but they handled it like pros. They were very responsive with estimates and right on time with service. Prices are very fair. The crew was professional and did a clean job inside and outside the house. My 30 year old AC died in the middle of a heat wave, Eddie from EML was still able fit me into the schedule find order and install full replacements units inside and outside fast and effectively. They also went above and beyond by helping to seal and fix old duct work from the inside and out to help increase the air flow and overall efficiency of the new units. We had our heating go out while we were out of town (just saw the data coming through on our nest app). It was alarming being so far from home and not being able to remedy the situation at all, but Ed took our call right away and found time to get to our house and meet up with our neighbor to very quickly diagnose and remedy the situation just before a major drop in temps and big winter storm. Top-notch experience! As a realtor, I have many touch points with HVAC installers and technicians. Last night I found myself in a bind with a broken condensate pump on the eve of a closing. We reached out to three different companies, and EML was the only one that responded at all, and they were able to come this morning. EML got my HVAC system completely serviced. Thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and mold free. Furnace and ducts. I already can breathe better. He and his partner Marcus were friendly, prompt, professional, and did an amazing job. I have struggled to find good contractors to do any kind of home services these days, good work is hard to find, but am ecstatic to have found an HVAC person I can trust. On top of this, his prices were more than reasonable and lower than anyone else I had come out for a quote. I contacted Ed for a special project on an island range hood installation with no duct work to vent outside the house, what’s more special, the position of the hood is in the middle of the house, which is making it very difficult to figure out a way to install the duct pipe to vent outside. Ed quickly responded my call and very responsively on the text/call discussion. He showed up on a scheduled date (even earlier) and burnt his entire afternoon and Marcus to uninstall the old hood, and to find a perfect spot to vent the ductwork outside the house, without damaging the ceiling and, hide all ductwork in the joists bay above the ceiling. He also helped mount the new range hood’s rack and also spent extra hours to figure out the very confusing manual. The final result is perfect and I have tried the hood several times, it is working perfectly! He also vacuum and wiped everything afterwards. I will use him again for anything else in the future, highly recommend!

On the day of a snowstorm, I woke up to no heat on my first floor. This was not something you want to experience on a Saturday morning, especially with a toddler. I sent a message to EML, who responded to me almost right away. They were upfront with costs, including the weekend fee, which I was fine with. Ed came over, diagnosed the situation with my furnace quickly, and in the nick of time managed to call into a store in Waltham and purchase a replacement motor, the LAST one they had in stock, JUST as they were closing. He left to pick it up, returned to fix my furnace and replace the part, and that was it. The response time was exceptional, and the service was 5 star. Ed’s sense of urgency really impressed me. He could have left for the day and returned some other day to do the work, but this urgency was the difference between having my heat restored right away, to having to wait another day or 2 in a cold house. I can’t thank him enough. This company has created a customer for life.

I live in a 100 year old house. Everyone told me how difficult it is to retrofit an older house for central AC so I have been putting it off as long as I could. This year, I finally decided to finish the attic and install Central AC. A friend of mine highly recommended EML Mechanical so I called them and Eddie came over for an assessment. I was referred to EML Mechanical from a friend, they have been top notch professionals from start to finish. Initially I reached out in 2022 due to a Mini Split unit that was not working, Eddie and his team member Marcus were able to get me scheduled quickly. Once they arrived they quickly identified the issue, repaired the problem, and serviced the system all within a few hours. They were able to get us up and running the same afternoon at a fair price with excellent customer service. I was impressed by Eddie and Marcus and hired EML again to add additional Mini Splits to our home. Eddie assisted me through the entire process from picking/ordering the systems, understanding the available Mass Save programs, and installing the units in our home. This was a complicated installation as the compressor needed to get to the roof, we live in a very old home. Eddie and Marcus rose to the challenge and completed the installation on time, the results are excellent and we are enjoying our new mini splits. I would highly recommend EML Mechanical for any HVAC needs. I have had issues with my HVAC since I moved in. Most of my issues stemmed from it not being installed properly and cheap materials being used. I was constantly calling companies for repairs due. It was bad enough that I had to call some one out 11 times one year just to keep the system going through a summer. I was paying a fortune just to keep the system running. I was having bad air flow issues with the system to the point I needed a window AC in my bedroom. The original quote I got to fix it was very high. I contacted Eddie at EML for a second opinion he gave me a much fairer price then what i was originally given. When I contacted Eddie it was during a heat wave and being a new customer I did not think I would be able to get an appointment any time soon, I was wrong. Eddie fit me into his schedule with in a matter of days even though he was very busy. On the day of my appointment they were there early and ready to go. They were extremely professional and got right to work. They found many issues with my system while they were working on it and they went above and beyond to fix every single one. They really did way more then they had too. By the time they were done you could feel the change through out my place. I no longer have to use a window AC in my bedroom, my HVAC does not have to run as often as it use to, and it cools down my place so much faster. After they were done they stayed to check everything and make sure it was working properly before they left. The biggest part for me is Eddie was very honest with me, he did not jack up the price at all for any of the extra work he did. I payed what he originally quoted me there were not hidden fees or last minute charges. He was very responsive and easy to communicate with from the moment I contacted him.
